Our last trip in Australia! So sad!!!!! - Day two and three

The beach near Port Augusta...

Unfortunatelly the last 4WD trip was not possible. The road was closed due to bushfires.

Our last campspot near to the Blackwood River.

The Blackwood River.

Goodbye last campground...

Special constructions for the ladder of the roof top tent. (Simone T., Simone M. and Stefan T. please have a close look and consider that the ladder has always a proper support! ;-))

Our last trip in Australia! So sad!!!!! - Day one

On our last trip we went to the Margaret River region south of Perth and visited the olive farm Olio Bello that is run by the parents of Elliot the neighbor of Simone and Scottie. It was very aesthetic and you felt more in Italy than in Australia!

The food was excellent too!

The weather and the coastline was again amazing!

Jo enjoys it!

In the evening we were visited by two possums. We will miss the Australian wildlife!!!

Outdoor feeling...

This and that in Perth

After Christmas it was time to slow down and get some things organized... So not too many things happened: We sold our car to Simone´s brother, Jo did a lot of repair work on the car, we sent our things back to Germany, watched a lot of "Stromberg" with Simone and were eating a lot....
The Australian "Schlecker"... Maybe that´s a new concept for the insolvent Schlecker: Just put 1,567 million post-its on the shelves and you will be much better than your competitors.

Eva was cutting Simone´s hairs. Of course the dogs can´t miss one thing that was happening in Notting-Ham Street.

Two of Scottie´s three Holden HJs

Mr. Duck and his three children enjoy the shade of the HJ.

Christmas party pix - part II

But now step by step... After our walk at the beach it was time for some Merry Christmas beers...

And than it was time for the 3,6kg Festival Ham, a Australian tradition on Christmas Day. So in the end it was a little bit too much for 5 people. :-) So we ended up having festival ham even a week after Christmas.
Together with the ham we had some salad with beer battered onions and mushrooms and of course some beer.

What a pleasure!!!!

In the foreground you can see our "Christmas tree" made out of some branches with VB (Victoria Bitter) cans.

Party!!!!

...and more party!!!

Do you know what John is thinking?

..."Should I join or not?"

"Why not!"

Time for music and dancing...

Isn´t Christmas the silent time?!

What is that on Eva´s nose????

Christmas Party Pixs - Part I

We shot on the 25th of December over 400 pictures!!!!! So we can present you only a very small selection. Anyone who want´s to see the rest (and it´s even more funny if you can see all pictures) will have to visit us when we are back in Germany...

Bill is a very well educated dog!
