China - Beijing, Day 1

Our first days in Beijing were covered in smog. You could hardly see more than 150 to 200 meters.

A walk through the Beihai park.

We couldn't really see the sun.

This is a hutong (traditional chinese residential area), where you can find narrow streets and small houses. Usually there is a lot of life in streets. More about this in one of the next posts.

All the Chinese people took photos in front of those lovely flowers in the Beihai park.

View to the white Dagoba

Somewhere under the plants should be a lake :-)

A nice statue in the park ;-)

The portrait of Mao Zedong at the entrance of the forbidden city

Tian'anmen Square (Platz des himmlischen Friedens) is supposed to be the largest city square in the world.

  1. Scheint ja ein wenig trübe-versmoggt, aber ist trotzdem sehr schön, oder? So am anderen Ende der Welt, oder fast. Danke für die tollen Fotos, da bekommt man selbst Lust zu verreisen!
