Mongolia Tour - Day 8

We stopped in the biggest town of the Gobi desert (Dalanzadgad). Finally we had our first shower during the trip in a local shower house. Normally the nomadic families go there once a week to have a shower.

The ceiling of a ger.

A half year old baby camel was crying while waiting for its mum.

In the evening the camel mothers came back to their children to give milk. While the child was sucking the milk, the family grandma milked the camel. Out of the milk they produced "Mongolian beer", which is fermented milk called Airag. Very tasty (at least for Jo).

Jo helped to herd the mother camels. Only one camel after the other was milked, so the others had to wait.
