The first days of our trip

This is also OZ... Green and wet.

Canebreakpool in the Rapids Conservation park. The swimming was awesome!

Here in WA is no flood at the moment. We are far away from Queensland and Victoria.

Where is the man in the moon?

Where is the Effi on the road?

Effi in the bathroom! This black solar shower bag is working very well!

The first 4WD drive to the Jasper Beach

For us it was unbelievable that a car can drive on the sand without any problem...

Awesome! A beach only for us!

It´s fun!!!

Driving on the beach...

But it´s not so much fun to dig the lady out of the sand. In the end it was not necessary to dig her out. There came a nice Australian guy and showed us how to drive up the sand dune.

Also Eva helped!

The Car - Lady G-Spot

The first deal in 2011 was to find a car that will be our home for the next year and that will bring us to every awesome spot in whole Australia. This means: We need a 4WD car! Our favorite was a Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series or a Nissan Patrol.
After looking at some cars together with Simone (Simone has a lot of knowledge of 4WD cars. Thanks for helping us!) we found after 10 days our Lady with the name G-Spot.
Why G-Spot??? First of all all cars are female in Australia! Then the pre-owner put on the windscreen a sticker with his second name Garfield. Disgusting! So we took of all the Garfield shit and left the G and the dot on the i on the windscreen: This is the little story of the name of our car. But now the pictures of the lady...

Here the facts for the G Spot:
Engine: 4.2 Liter, 6 cylinders, diesel
129hp @ 3800rpm
285Nm @ 2200rpm
main tank: 95 liter
sub tank: 50 liter
fuel consumption: ~12,5liter/100ks
2inch lift kit
heavy duty suspension (OldManEmu)
bull bar
 side steps
roof rack
roof tent
awning
UHF radio
external antenna for mobile phone
fishing gear holder
additional front spotlights
drawer system in the trunk
integrated compressor to pump up the tires after a ride on the beach or a sandy track
snorkel for driving through the water
last but not least a sound system with an extra equalizer

A nice car for the trip of our life!

New Years Eve or back again in Perth

After our last work day we went back to Perth via Hitchhiking. 500ks and no problem. After 30min waiting on the Great Northern Highway a guy from Port Hedland picked us up and brought us to Perth. There we had the New Years Eve party in the garden from Simone and Scotty together with Simone and Stefan from Würzburg.

What to say, what to say... It was a typical New Years Eve party with a barbie, a lot of beer and no private firework. This is forbidden in Australia because of the fire danger. So the motto was: Get pissed! ;-)

Maybe this was at midnight... We can´t remember...

Simone... But drinking beer was not possible!

The other Simone. Simones don´t like to be photographed

Eva was freezing... Den Säufer und den Hurenbock frierts im größten Unterrock...
;-)

... at this temperatures! This was around 1am!
