Better late than never - First impressions from Perth

Hello world, Hello Germany, Hello everybody!!! We are still alive... After a long time without Internet and with a lot of things to do, we find now the time to go on with this blog.

But by the way... We wish everybody a good and exciting year 2011.

What happened during our last two months? Yeah first there was a lot of organizing bullshit to do in Perth. After a few days we noticed that the exchange rate of the Euro is just shithouse and that we have to earn some Australian bugs that we can afford the 4WD car. So we got a job on a farm somewhere in the nowhere in the bush near to Mt Magnet where we were working for 6 weeks as rockmelon picker and packer. After those hard weeks we were back in Perth at New Year´s Eve. After we recovered from our hangover we searched for our 4WD car. And since 10 days we are on the track through OZ!!!! Yeah!
But one thing after the other. Here some impressions from our first two weeks in Down Under:

During our first two weeks in Perth we stayed at Simone (a german girl from Gerbrunn) and her australian husband Scottie. What to say?? Wa wa wi wa :-)
The time was great! THANKS so much for everything!

Sammy - Scottie's dog (very cute)

Billbo - Simone's dog (seems dangerous, but is in fact more than harmless)

Having a barbie - what else!

Mr. Duck was living also in Simone's and Scottie's garden

The DAY has come... time for the first of two Gamperts, that Jo carried through have the world...

So happy!
One of Jo's best moments during the world trip

During a geocache..

One bottle of Vodka for 30$ seems expensive, but for our Christmas aperitif we even payed almost 50$ in Mt Magnet... (by the way the exchange rate is about 1€ = 1,35$)
But we still have one stubby of beer every evening ;-)

Spring time in Perth
